St. John Brebeuf Speaker Series Underway

End of Life Ethics focus of Oct. 15 program at St. John Brebeuf

End of Life Ethics is the topic of the next program in the 2015-2016 speaker series hosted by St. John Brebeuf Church. Scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Rev. Thomas P. May Ministry Center of the church which is located at 8307 N. Harlem Avenue, Niles, the free lecture will be given by Deacon Mariusz Kosla.

Sponsored by Relevant Radio, the 2015-16 eight lecture series began Sept. 17 when Rev. Richard Fragomeni spoke about Pope Francis and the Environment. Six additional programs are scheduled in the current series.

They are Domestic Abuse presented by Rev. Charles Dahm, O.P. on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.; Family Spirituality presented by Rev. Pawel Komperda on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m.; Synod of Bishops in Rome Regarding Family Issues presented by Daniel J. Olsen, PhD, on Sunday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m.; Teen Years, Family Life presented by John Mayer, PhD, on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m.; Immigration, Working for Justice presented by Elena Segura on Thursday, March 17, at 7 p.m. and Holy Land, Life of Christ presented by Rev. James McIlhone on Thursday, April 12, at 7 p.m. All lectures will be held in the Rev. Thomas P. May Ministry Center of the church.
