Malhorta is accused of teaming with a woman to steal over-the-counter medications from the Milwaukee Avenue store last Monday and then, when confronted by employees, pulled out a needle from his pants pocket and said “You don’t want what I have.”
The incident was similar - nearly identical - to one reported the following day in Naperville. Investigators have not confirmed whether Malhorta is a suspect in the Naperville incident.
