Two Vehicle Crash in Niles

A white Hyundai Elantra heading north-west on Milwaukee turned west bound onto Oakton Avenue, in front of a silver Subaru, which was heading south-east on Milwaukee, causing a massive crash and near sonic boom at point of impact.

Witnesses, including this intrepid local reporter, were on the scene within moments of the crash, and after determining first aid was not required, calls were put in to emergency services.

Multiple Niles police and fire vehicles responded to the chaotic scene to assist setup a perimeter to control traffic and keep the scene safe.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and two occupants did require minor medical assistance at the scene.
