Wilmette Center for the Arts will have the audience tapping their feet to the music of the upcoming production of ALL SHOOK UP. The musical comedy, inspired by the music of Elvis Presley,® is a tale of romance, mistaken identity and the true power of rock n’ roll. The show opens Friday, March 6, in the Theatre of the Community Recreation Center.

Unlike most of the “jukebox musicals” currently playing, ALL SHOOK UP is arranged specifically for the stage and audiences can expect much more than a concert of famous tunes. ALL SHOOK UP uses Elvis’s songs as a backdrop to help tell the story of a small Midwestern town that is down on its luck, until a motorcycle-driving roustabout brings music back into their lives. With arrangements that include a Gospel version of “Devil in Disguise” and a mash-up of “Hound Dog” and “Teddy Bear,” audiences of all ages will be able to connect and enjoy the show.

Schmidt is joined by Music Director Joseph Brewer, and multi Joseph Jefferson Award winning Choreographer Brigitte Ditmars.
