• Brookfield man sentenced to 7 years in prison for money laundering conspiracy (wisn.com) — North Aurora residents were among the hardest-hit victims in a multi-state money laundering scam, losing more than $1.1 million in just three cash pickups. A Brookfield, Wisconsin man has now been sentenced to seven years in federal prison and ordered to pay over $1.3 million in restitution, as federal authorities urge anyone targeted by similar schemes to contact the FBI.
