108-Year Old Cubs Fan Celebrates 2nd World Series of Lifetime
Mabel Ball was born before the Cubs won their last World Series in 1908. She's elated to read about another world title.

NORTHBROOK, IL - Mabel Ball, the 108-year-old longtime Chicago Cubs fan who was a baby the last time the Cubs won the World Series, celebrated the 2016 championship with a copy of the morning newspaper.
Ball, a resident of Covenant Village of Northbrook, simply smiled when she was presented the front page of the Chicago Tribune that simply read, "At last."

Ball grew up listening to Cubs game on the radio, but only made one appearance for a game at Wrigley Field and that came as a present for her 90th birthday from family.
Her hope was for 2016 to be the "magical year" the Cubs make it to the top, and her desire was played out in reality.
