What does the nominee do for work?:
Ryan is helping his community by raising funds to support the purchase of a ventilator for patients at NorthShore University HealthSystem (NorthShore) for his bar-mitzvah project. In addition to donations, Ryan has also started selling yard signs that say, "Smiles Shine Through Masks" to raise money for his project. He has sold 70 signs so far.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Ryan is an incredibly generous and kind young man. NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation is inspired by Ryan's desire to make a difference in this world. In addition to his current Bar-Mitzvah fundraising project, he donates his time to about 10 volunteer projects a year, and he's only a 12-year-old.
