2 Charged in Northbrook Bank Robbery

One suspect was caught in Evanston and the other in Mississippi. They are accused of holding up the Fifth Third Bank on Skokie Boulevard.

NORTHBROOK, IL - Two people are facing federal charges in connection to the robbery of the Fifth Third Bank in Northbrook last month.

According to a news release, Reiquon Gaines was arrested in Evanston on Tuesday and charged with one count of bank robbery and one count of aiding and abetting and Jerrious Javone Jackson was arrested in Mississippi on Wednesday and charged with two counts of bank robbery.

The pair are also accused of robbing the PNC Bank on Sheridan Road in Zion just hours before the hold-up at the Fifth Third on Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook.

The FBI described the Northbrook incident as a "takeover" bank robbery.
