52 Allstate employees earn $52,000 for Northern IL Food Bank

The Allstate Foundation grant to help solve hunger by providing nutritious meals to hungry neighbors in 13 counties

Fifty-two Allstate agency owners and financial specialists from the Chicagoland area, Colorado and New York recently came together to secure a $52,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® grant to benefit the Northern Illinois Food Bank. The grant will support the Northbrook-based nonprofit’s mission to provide food and feeding programs to solve hunger in its 13-county service area.

The agency owners and financial specialists each earned $1,000 for the Northern Illinois Food Bank by volunteering at the third annual “Good Hands Feed the Kids” event in Northbrook. The volunteers packaged food that serves the hungry around Chicagoland. The Northern Illinois Food Bank will use the $52,000 grant to further its work in the community.

The participating Allstate volunteers are among thousands of agency owners and financial specialists around the country working to strengthen communities by volunteering their time to support the causes they care about most.
