Auto Repair Shop Proposed for Holste Road

A new automotive repair shop could be on its way to Northbrook.

Auto Cars Imports, Ltd. appeared before the Plan Commission for the first time this week seeking a special permit to operate out of a portion of 1801 Holste Road.

“The Applicant explained some of the practical difficulties they have encountered in reducing the number of vehicles being stored on the property and the progress they have made,” according to a village memo. “Plan Commission members asked the applicant many questions about the operation of the facility and the steps being taken to avoid a repeat of the past problems.

The Plan Commission instructed staff to draft a resolution recommending approval, but with a series of conditions.
