Board Puts Off Decision On GBN Hall Monitor Charged With Cop Impersonation, Gun Crimes
After the suspended Glenbrook North employee allegedly brought a loaded gun to campus, the board postponed his possible firing a 2nd time.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The Glenbrook District 225 board has decided to delay any decision about the employment status of a hall monitor who has been on paid administrative leave ever since his arrest for allegedly impersonating a police officer and illegally carrying a loaded handgun on a school grounds. Board members met in closed session for about an hour Thursday. After they emerged, they announced any action taken on the matter will have to wait until Monday at the earliest, the Northbrook Star reports.
Steven Schulhof, 60, a Glenview resident and licensed private investigator, crashed his SUV while training his dog on the campus of Glenbrook North High School between 11:30 p.m. and midnight on on Aug. 26, according to police reports. He is accused of flashing a "K9 Special Investigator" badge and claiming to be a law enforcement officer to avoid facing legal consequences for illegally carrying a gun.

Schulhof has a firearm owner's identification card, but he does not have a concealed carry permit, which would have been required for him to carry the gun.
Police said he had been warned about bringing his dog to campus at least once before, in 2015.
