College-Bound Employees Of Northbrook Senior Community Earn Grants
Covenant Living Of Northbrook, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, awarded a total of $9,000 in grants-in-aid.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Six college-bound students, who are currently employed at Covenant Living of Northbrook, were recently awarded some scholarship money from the not-for-profit continuing care retirement community. The student-employees were awarded a total of $9,000 in grants-in-aid to help pay for their higher educations.
According to Covenant, the grants are made possible through the proceeds made from funding efforts at the annual Holly Fair and also contributions from anonymous resident donors and Covenant Living administration.

- Daniel Avila (Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago)
To qualify, each recipient of the award must have been employed at Covenant Living for at least six months, be enrolled in a college or technical school and have completed a grant application with an essay highlighting their hopes and their future career goals.
