Congratulations District 30 Character Counts! Poster-Video Contest Winners!

On October 18, the Village of Glenview hosted the annual Character Counts! Poster-Video contest winners and their families; where they received accolades and awards for their creative projects. Character Counts! of Glenview Co-Chairs Jim Bream and Dr. Nate Carter congratulated and handed out gift cards to each student from Maple, Wescott and Willowbrook Schools.

Winners included the following students: Poster Contest winners were Willowbrook School second grader Naomi Chiang; Willowbrook third grader Sophia Santos, and Wescott School third grader Titian Sherwin. Video Contest winners at Maple School were seventh grader Branden Chi and sixth grader Darshan Kommanapalli.

The Kiwanis Club of Northbrook and Glenview sponsored the gift awards. Village of Glenview's Lynne Stiefel was the video contest coordinator and Glenview Library's Barb Littlefield coordinated the poster contest.

District 30's Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Wegley, Maple School Principal Dr. Nate Carter, Assistant Principal Betty Holzkopf, Wescott School Principal Chris Brown, and Willowbrook Principal Scott Carlson were all in attendance, and heartily congratulated each student. Everyone enjoyed posing for photos at the end of the evening!
