Congratulations Girls' Volleyball Champions! First Maple Team to Achieve Championship since 2005!
From eighth grade volleyball coach, Julie Ireland, "Congratulations to Maple School girls' eighth grade volleyball team for winning first place in their conference tournament held on October 28 at Maple. They worked extremely hard all season to better themselves both as individual players and as a team, and it paid off. They are the first Maple team to win this tournament since 2005, and now the year 2017 will be added to the championship banner displayed in the West Gym."
"They finished with a regular season record of 10-2, which meant they were first place in their division. In the season-ending tournament they were victorious against Shepard, Northbrook Junior High, and
Springman to win the title. The team showed an extreme amount of physical and mental strength in each hard-fought match, and demonstrated teamwork and sportsmanship."
