Covenant Living of Northbrook Residents Provide Student Grants

Northbrook, Ill.: A group of seventeen college-bound students currently employed at Covenant Living of Northbrook in dining services were recently awarded a total of $25,500 in Grants-in-Aid to help pay for their educations. The grants were made possible through funding by proceeds from the senior living community’s annual Holly Fair and contributions from 32 anonymous resident donors and Covenant Living administration.

Those who each received a $1,500 grant include: Emma Bryer, attending the University of Iowa; Axell Cantu, attending Harper Community College; Amy Cheng, attending University of Illinois –Champaign Urbana; Dane Jacobsen, attending the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana; Emma Kim, attending New York University; Sarah Lancioni, attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee; Nick Martinez, attending the College of DuPage; Regina Roy, attending the University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana; Klaud Rydzy, attending Loyola University; Reese Shanahan, attending Oakton Community College; Gabriel Sisarica, attending Marquette University; Anne Stewart, attending the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh; Lucy Traub, attending Pennsylvania State University; Ilana Vernovsky, attending the University of Missouri; Liberty Villalon, attending Oakton Community College; Ellie White, attending American University and Gabi Zernik, attending Florida State University.

Recipients of the award must have been employed at Covenant Living for at least six months, be enrolled in a college or technical school and have completed a grant application with an essay highlighting their hopes and their future career goals.
