District 28 Announces Kindergarten Registration Dates

Kindergarten registration is coming up on Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 at the District’s three elementary schools: Greenbriar School, Meadowbrook School, and Westmoor School.

Parents are required to register in person. On February 4, registration is available from 8:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. On February 5, parents may register from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2015, are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year. Parents of incoming kindergartners who have not received a letter from the District are encouraged to call their elementary school office to request more details about registration requirements.

Information about the District’s extended day kindergarten care program is available on the District 28 website, www.northbrook28.net. The fee-based program is optional and provides extended day care for District 28 kindergarten students. It is an activity-focused program and is designed for families who want their child to remain in District 28 for a full day.
