District 30 Names New Superintendent

Current Glenbrook South High School Principal Brian Wegley gets the nod.

Glenbrook South High School Principal Brian Wegley will be the next superintendent of the Northbrook/Glenview School District 30, the Journal & Topics reported Friday. Wegley will replace current superintendent Edward Tivador, who is retiring on July 1, 2015.

Members of the Northbrook/Glenview Elementary School District 30 board voted to hire Wegley during their December 18 meeting, but his contract has yet to be finalized.

“I am honored to be chosen as the next superintendent for District 30,” Wegley said in a written statement. “ Serving as the Glenbrook South principal for the past decade has been a pursuit of passion for me that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have been blessed to work with a strong board and incredible administrators across District 225. I am thankful for my team and the talented staff with whom I have worked.”
