District 30 Students Thank Northbrook Police For Their Service to the Community

There was a great display of the Character Counts pillars of citizenship and caring on June 6, by a group of Wescott and Maple students. They are pictured holding up signs thanking the Northbrook Police for their excellent service to our community. (Photos submitted by Greg Itahara.) Here is the rest of the story, just in from Greg, his wife Cissy, and their son Ryan.

"A few moms from Wescott and Maple wanted to show appreciation to the Northbrook Police for keeping us safe and protecting our community. We brought them donuts and coffee, and the kids made cards and signs thanking them for their service. We followed up with pizza for the later shift," said Greg.

“A big thank you to Joanna Baczewska for coming up with the idea and getting the kids together for such a touching moment,” added Greg.
