Dundee Road Gas Station Closes Permanently

NORTHBROOK, IL — A 7-Eleven gas station, formerly a Citgo, at the corner of Dundee and Pfingsten roads has been closed permanently, the Northbrook Star reports. Demolition permits have been granted for the canopies and pumps but not for the store, Northbrook building department officials told the paper. The Star reports Northbrook's proximity to Lake County's lower gas and tobacco taxes makes gas station operation more difficult in the village.
