Walk 5K or 10K through the village to raise awareness of the ever-increasing number of people throughout the world struggling with hunger and food insecurity.
Some 2,000 communities organize CROP Hunger Walks to support the work of Church World Service, a cooperative ministry of 35 Protestant, Orthodox, and Anglican denominations, which has raised over $294 million during the last 20 years to provide sustainable self-help and development, refugee assistance, and disaster relief in the U.S. and abroad.
CWS shares 25 percent of what is raised through the CROP Hunger Walks with the participating communities’ own locally-supported hunger-fighting initiatives. The Northfield Township Food Pantry has been designated as local beneficiary.

Walkers are raising funds in advance of the event with many supported by members of their respective faith communities. Donations will be accepted during registration at Saint Giles, where canned food items will also be collected for delivery to the Northfield Township Food Pantry. The nave of the church will be open for quiet prayer and meditation during the event.
