GBN Principal Set To Become Assistant Superintendent At District 86
Jason Markey has served as principal at Glenbrook North High School since 2020.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Jason Markey, Glenbrook North principal since 2020, will soon be assistant superintendent of Hinsdale High School District 86. Markey will transition to District 86 on July 1. District 86 approved Markey for the role at its May 25 meeting.
"It has been a privilege to serve alongside outstanding educators who continuously support students, families and each other," Markey said in a news release.
An agenda for the Hindsdale District 86 board of education meeting indicated Markey will get a two-year contract at $200,000 a year.

"Jason and I have spoken about this opportunity being the next step in his career path. He and I enjoy a close working relationship, and I rely on his wisdom and insight to help lead the district as a member of Cabinet," District 225 superintendent Dr. Charles Johns said. "I appreciate his unwavering professionalism and dedication to the students, staff, and families at Glenbrook North High School."

According to District 225, during the last two principal searches, a search firm was used "to conduct an open, inclusive process."
