Glenbrook North Principal Is Retiring

Paul Pryma is retiring at the end of this year after 10 years at the helm as principal of Glenbrook North High School.

Before GBN, Pryma, a 34-year veteran in education, had served as head of the basketball programs at St. Ignatius College Prep in Chicago and Evanston Township High School.

The Chicago Tribune follows the career of Pryma, a graduate of Chicago’s Saint Patrick High School.

“When you’re a coach and always playing in a public forum, you’re vulnerable to criticism,” Pryma said. “With that type of exposure and public transparency, it helps coaches be comfortable in making administrative decisions.”
