Holes Shot Into Windows At Education Center: Northbrook Police Blotter
The staff said it was the second time it had occurred on successive days, according to police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE
Shamara C. Bright and Rosie E. Pough, both of Chicago, are charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle and were arrested at 8:10 p.m. May 13, at Skokie Boulevard and Dundee Road. Police had received a report of a stolen 2022 silver Kia Sorento. The driver, Bright, and passenger, Pough, said it was a rental. Police spoke to the rental company, who said the company was overdue. The company said that after multiple attempts to have them return the vehicle, they had refused. Additionally, Pough had a warrant out of Missouri for violation of probation and possession of stolen goods, according to police. A court date of June 13 was assigned.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
Adam Rafalo, of Glenview, is accused of disorderly conduct, and was arrested at 10:54 a.m. May 15, at Willow Road and Founders Drive. A complainant told police that while driving down the roadway, a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup was tailgating her. The driver of the pickup eventually cut her off and suddenly stopped. A verbal altercation ensued. A court date is set for June 15.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
On May 15, police saw two people acting suspiciously in a residential area at 5:26 p.m. May 15, in the 1800 block of Shermer Road. The subjects looked at the officer, quickly jumped in to their truck and tried to flee the area. The officer noticed the 2019 black Ford had expired plates. Police stopped the car to inquire what they were doing. The driver did not have a driver's license. David A. Connors, of Spring Grove, is accused of having an expired registration and no valid driver's license. He was arrested. A court date of June 22 was assigned. One day later, police saw the same car driving near the intersection of Willow and Shermer roads. The vehicle still had expired license plates attached to it. Connors is accused of having an expired registration, illegal registration plate cover, no valid driver's license, and was arrested. A court date of June 13 was assigned.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
Felipe Palomino, of Chicago, is accused of having an expired registration, suspended registration, suspended driver's license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 1:30 a.m. May 17, at Waukegan and Willow roads. A court date of June 18 was assigned.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Clyde Butler, of Chicago, is accused of possession of stolen property, and was arrested at 10:27 a.m. May 17, in the 1100 block of Skokie Boulevard. Butler was taken into custody at his parole agent's office. An investigation revealed that Butler was in possession of stolen property while at a fitness center in Northbrook on April 25. Butler was officially charged with obtaining control over stolen property. The court date is set for June 7.

INCIDENTS
IDENTITY THEFT
A Doriann Drive resident reported at 11:27 a.m. May 12, someone hacked into her online stock trading account. At the beginning of April, over $200,000 was transferred out of the account.
UNDERAGE WITH ALCOHOL
Police observed two young adults at 9:50 p.m. May 12, exiting a liquor store in the 2700 block of Dundee Road after purchasing some items. Officers spoke to one of them, who said he bought a bottle of vodka using a fake driver’s license, since he wasn’t 21 years old yet. He was charged with being a person under 21 years of age in possession of alcohol. A court date of June 15 was assigned.
THEFT/MISLAID PROPERTY
A complainant called police at 1:26 p.m. May 16, to report he had been trying on clothes in the changing room at a retail store in the 4100 block of Dundee Road. He accidentally left his air pods inside the changing room when he left. When he later went to retrieve them, they were missing. The staff did not know the location of the air pods.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
The staff at an educational center in the 300 block of Lee Road called police at 8:18 a.m. May 17, to report someone shot holes through the windows during the overnight hours when no one was at the school. Seven holes were found in a window and pellets from an air gun were found near the damaged window. A similar incident occurred on May 16.
RETAIL THEFT
- The staff at a retail store in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard reported at 2:22 p.m. May 17, two female subjects walked into the store and each picked up a Mark Jacobs handbag. The females walked out of the store with the items without paying.
- The loss prevention staff at a retail store in the 100 block of Skokie Boulevard called police at 4 p.m. May 18, to report two subjects came into the store and removed the security sensors to four pairs of shoes. The subjects walked out of the store without paying and fled in a gray BMW.
