K-9 Unit Assists In Burglary Arrests: Northbrook Police Blotter

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

  • Erica Rodriguez, of North Chicago, is accused of driving while license suspended, expired registration, expired driver's license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, and was arrested at 8:58 p.m. Nov. 18, at Willow and Waukegan roads. A court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.
  • A Northbrook resident is accused of driving while license suspended, and was arrested at 8:01 p.m. Nov. 19, in the 200 block of Skokie Boulevard. The officer responded to an injury accident. A court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.

Yvette Macias, of Chicago, is accused of driving under the influence, improper lane usage, open transportation of an alcoholic beverage, and was arrested at 11:37 p.m. Nov. 20, at Founders Drive and Waukegan Road. A court date of Dec. 20 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

K-9 ASSIST

The Northbrook K-9 unit was dispatched at 3:38 p.m. Nov. 19, to Roger Williams Avenue and Sheridan Road in Highland Park to assist with the arrest of several people wanted for residential burglary. The subjects, who had fled from the officers and crashed their vehicle, were refusing the officer’s commands. Once the K-9 officer and dog arrived, they successfully assisted Highland Park with the arrest of seven people.

RETAIL THEFT

The manager of a store in the 200 block of Skokie Boulevard called police at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 20, to report two people had entered the store and stole 25 North Face jackets. The subjects fled in a white van.
