Ketchup Squirted, Cabbie Stiffed, Man With Warrant Arrested: Northbrook Crimes
Northbrook Police Blotter: Aug. 4 - Aug. 10

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department as a record of incidents reported to the police and a list of those arrested. Criminal charges are often dropped or reduced and represent merely accusations by the state. An arrest is not an indicator of guilt, and all persons named are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
THEFT OF LABOR/SERVICES
At 2:40 a.m. on Aug. 5, a taxi driver reported taking men, believed to be in their 20's, from Chicago to the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard in Northbrook. The two men exited the cab and went into the building without paying a $67.25 fare.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO VEHICLE
On Aug. 5, a resident in the 2500 block of Saint Stevens Green reported that someone threw a real estate sign at a neighbor’s van, during the overnight hours , breaking the driver’s side window.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
On Aug. 5, a resident in the 1300 block of Greenbriar Lane reported that a window was found broken on the home by unknown means and an unknown amount of ketchup had been squirted on the driveway.
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
Three car burglaries were reported by patrons of Wood Oaks Green Park between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 6.

THEFT
At 10:50 a.m. on Aug. 7, a patron in the 3000 block of Dundee Road reported that two checks which had not been completed or signed had been stolen, and one of them was cashed.
THEFT
Shortly after 5 p.m. on Aug. 8, a patron in the 2700 block of Techny reported that someone entered an unlocked locker and stole several credit cards from a wallet.
THEFT
A resident in the 1900 block of Penfold Place reported that someone removed a $50 sign from the front yard sometime between 11 p.m. on Aug. 9 and 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 10.
ARRESTS
NO LICENSE
A 37-year-old Chicago man was arrested Aug. 5 at 7:46 p.m. near the intersection of Willow Road and Virginia Lane. Police said they pulled him over for speeding and when they spoke to him, he admitted not having a valid driver's license. He was taken into custody, cited for speeding and charged with no drivers license.
WARRANT
Semetet Azimkulov, 21, of the 2500 block of West Thorndale Avenue, was arrested Aug. 6 at 9:34 p.m. on an active in-state warrant. Police said he was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped for traffic offenses. Police checked his name and found he had an outstanding warrant for forfeiting bond on a charge of driving under the influence.
NO LICENSE
A 30-year-old Chicago man was arrested Aug. 6 at 10:04 p.m. near the intersection of Dundee and Landwehr roads and charged with driving without a license after being pulled over for traffic offenses, expired and revoked registration.
SUSPENDED LICENSE
A 39-year-old Waukegan woman was arrested Aug. 9 at 7:05 p.m. near the intersection of Willow Road and Bracken Lane and charged with driving while license suspended after police on patrol stopped her vehicle for traffic offenses.
