Leadership Northbrook Accepting Applications for 2026–2027 Class

Eight-Month Program Develops the Community's Next Generation of Leaders

NORTHBROOK, Ill. — The Northbrook Chamber of Commerce & Industry is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Leadership Northbrook program, an immersive leadership experience designed to cultivate informed, connected, and engaged leaders who are committed to strengthening the Northbrook community.

Beginning in September 2026, Leadership Northbrook brings together emerging and established professionals from businesses, nonprofits, government, education, and civic organizations for an eight-month journey exploring the people, institutions, and issues that shape Northbrook.

Participants gain firsthand access to community leaders while developing the leadership skills needed to make a meaningful impact in their organizations and throughout the community.

Each monthly session combines interactive discussions, behind-the-scenes tours, leadership development activities, and networking opportunities with local decision-makers.

Program topics include:

• The History and Evolution of Northbrook
• Local Government and Public Policy
• Economic Development and Business Growth
• Public Safety and Emergency Services
• Healthcare and Human Services
• Education and Workforce Development
• Arts, Culture, and Community Engagement
• Leadership Skills and Team Building

"This program helps participants see Northbrook through a new lens," said Kathi Quinn, President of the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce & Industry. "Leadership Northbrook creates stronger leaders by connecting them with the people, organizations, and ideas that drive our community forward. Graduates leave with valuable relationships, a deeper understanding of local issues, and practical leadership skills they can immediately apply."

Leadership Northbrook is ideal for professionals seeking to:

Graduates join a growing network of Leadership Northbrook alumni who continue to serve on nonprofit boards, volunteer in the community, and take on leadership roles throughout the region.

The program runs from September through April, with monthly sessions held from 8:00 a.m. to Noon on the second Friday of each month.

Applications are now being accepted for review. Space is limited.
