Lee Road Construction Project Begins Monday

Northbrook begin by reducing lanes, repaving Lee Road this week.

NORTHBROOK, IL — Beginning Monday, the Village of Northbrook is reconstructing and converting Lee Road from concrete to asphalt and from four lanes to two lanes. The village said the conversion will reduce the speed of local traffic, as well as the amount of road maintenance and snow plowing required in the future. The conversation will also leave more green space, according to the village.

Lee Road is the primary connector between Lake Cook Road, the Williamsburg subdivision, houses on Longmeadow Road and the Cove School.

The construction is scheduled to run through June 16.Notification letters have already been mailed to residents in nearby properties, the village said.
