Line-Cutting Leads To Face Punch At Movies: Northbrook Police Blotter
The incident happened in the food line at AMC Theaters, according to police.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
RETAIL THEFT
- Larry G. Hudson, of Chicago, had an outstanding warrant for three counts of felony retail theft, and turned himself in at 4 p.m. June 23, to the Northbrook Police Department, 1500 block of Lake Cook Road. He was taken to bond court and given a future court date of July 15.
- Julian C. Campbell, of Chicago, was taken into custody at 12:45 p.m. June 23, for an outstanding Northbrook felony retail theft warrant. He was taken to bond court and assigned a future court date of July 15.
SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE

- Angelika Accardi, of Northbrook, is accused of driving while license suspended, resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and was arrested at 7:39 p.m. June 24, at Waukegan and Voltz roads. A community service officer assisted a motorist whose vehicle had broken down. According to police, there was smoke coming from the vehicle, which was parked in a traffic lane. The officer assisted the driver into an adjacent driveway to get the vehicle out of traffic. The driver, who was in control of the vehicle, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. An officer responded and attempted to take the driver into custody for driving with a suspended license. Police said Accardi resisted, but was eventually taken into custody. Accardi's court date is set for July 11.
- Eric J. Inostroza, of Joliet, is accused of retail theft, and was arrested at 7:25 p.m. June 28, at Neiman Marcus, 1500 block of Lake Cook road. An employee said he saw Inostroza enter the men's section of the store and place a Stefano Ricci t-shirt (valued at $450) into a shopping bag and exit the lower level mall entrance. The employee identified himself to Inostroza and placed him in custody. At the loss prevention office, it was discovered that the defendant also had an Alexander McQueen bracelet (valued at$390) in his possession. Inostroza was released on bond and assigned a court date of Aug. 11.
FORGERY
Lisa M. Guerrera, of Waukegan, had a warrant out of Northbrook for four felony counts of forgery, and was arrested at 8:19 p.m. June 25, by Zion police. She was taken to court with a court date pending.

NO DRIVER'S LICENSE
Osman Lobo-Padilla, of Waukegan, is accused of no driver's license, speeding (15-20 mph over the speed limit), no insurance, and was arrested at 10:32 p.m. June 26, at Waukegan and Walnut. They were released on bond and assigned a court date of Aug. 4.
THREATENING TEXT
Ryan A. Harris, of Northbrook, is accused of sending a threatening text, and was arrested at 9:40 p.m. June 29 in the 2000 block of Thornwood Lane. The complainant said they accepted a Snapchat friend request that turned out to be from Harris. He proceeded to direct message the complainant, threatening to seriously harm them, according to police. Harris was taken into custody awaiting bond court.
BATTERY
Ronald N. Goldburg, of Wilmette, is accused of two felony counts of aggravated battery, and was arrested at 10:06 a.m. June 30, at AMC Theaters, 1500 block of Lake Cook Road.
VIOLATION OF AN ORDER OF PROTECTION
Aaron M. Miller, of Chicago, is accused of violation of an order of protection and was arrested at 4:56 p.m. June 28, in the 1100 block of Lake Cook Road. A complainant said Miller had been texting and calling her multiple times, in violation of the current order of protection in place. Miller was taken into custody and is awaiting bond court.

INCIDENTS
DOG PROBLEM
A person called the police department at 8:55 a.m. June 24, to report that a resident had a dog not muzzled while standing in the owner's driveway as people walked past in the 2800 block of White Pine Drive. The complainant said the owner had been given a compliance order from the Village to muzzle the dog due to past incidents. The officer spoke to the owner and reminded him of the compliance order.
ANIMAL CALL
A person reported at 2:12 p.m. June 24, seeing an unattended dog in a vehicle while parked at a store in the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard. An officer arrived and noticed the dog appeared to be in distress due to the heat (88 degrees). The officer provided water to the dog until the owner returned after shopping. The owner was reminded of the dangers of leaving an animal in a car on warm days.
BURGLARY TO AUTO
A person reported at 2:25 p.m. June 24, she saw a male walk up to her co-worker's vehicle, illegally enter and steal money from the center console in the 2700 block of Dundee Road. The complainant watched the male leave the victim’s vehicle and drive away in a white 2014 Infinity. The complainant and victim are working with officers to identify the offender.
THEFT FROM VEHICLE
- A person reported that between June 24 and June 25, someone stole the catalytic converter and attached oxygen sensor from his vehicle in the 700 block of Skokie Boulevard.
- A person called police at 10:09 a.m. June 26, to report the catalytic converter was stolen from her rental car, a 2021 Mitsubishi, while it was parked in the lot overnight in the 900 block of Skokie Boulevard.
THEFT OF LOST/MISLAID PROPERTY
A person called police June 24 to report she left her iPhone in a ride-share vehicle in the 2600 block of Crabtree Lane. The officer reached out to the ride-share driver, but they had negative results in finding the phone. The “Find My iPhone” app was utilized, and the iPhone was pinging in Chicago.
BATTERY
A patron reported at 2:47 p.m. June 25, they were punched in the face by an unknown person while getting food at AMC Theaters, 1500 block of Lake Cook Road. The victim and offender had a brief discussion about line cutting prior to the incident. The management advised the offender to leave the business to calm the situation prior to reporting the incident to the police. Video surveillance captured the incident. On June 30, the defendant was positively identified by the victim and was taken into custody.
CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
The Northbrook Park District facility manager called police June 27, to report the men's washroom was defaced in the 1700 block of Techny Road. The door and partition to the men’s room toilet area had graffiti on both sides, with some also on the cinder block wall inside the stall.
DISPUTE
A resident in the 2800 block of Farmington reported at 6:54 p.m June 28, he was using the bathroom when his landlord entered his residence unannounced. The complainant said this is the fourth incident that either his landlord, or someone related to the landlord, has entered the property without permission and without knocking or ringing the bell. Complainant related he was expecting the landlord to come with a contractor to inspect the basement floor, but she entered without his knowledge or permission. Officers explained to the landlord that she cannot enter rented property without permission.
RETAIL THEFT:
An employee at Best Buy, 1000 block of Willow Road, reported at 8:04 p.m. June 28, two males purchased a SIM kit for a cell phone and paid in cash. A half hour later, the the two re-entered the store and attempted to return the SIM card. After being told they could not return the SIM card, the two males became argumentative until the employee agreed to process a return on the item. As offender No. 1 was being handed the cash for the return, offender No. 2 grabbed the SIM card and called the sales associate a profane word. Both offenders exited the business with the cash and the SIM card.
THEFT
A person called police at 9:58 p.m. June 28, to report his son's red GT mountain bike was stolen from the bike rack at the Metra Depot, 1400 block of Shermer Road.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE
- A resident in the 800 block of Pinto Lane reported at 1:35 a.m. June 29, she saw someone crouched between vehicles in her driveway. The area was checked with negative results.
- A person called police at 9:57 p.m. June 29, to report two males approached her mother's door in the 1200 block of Adirondack and asked for permission to access her backyard since they allegedly worked for AT&T. The complainant’s mother had given the two subjects permission to access the backyard, but felt that they were suspicious due to having no ID or AT&T clothing. The two subjects were seen driving a black/gray Chevy Blazer that had no markings from AT&T on it. The subjects were soon told to leave the premise, which they did promptly.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE
A resident in the 600 block of Midfield Lane called police at 5:16 a.m. June 29, to report an unknown SUV was shining bright lights at houses and then left in an unknown direction. The area was checked with negative results.
VANDALISM
A person reported at 6:15 p.m. June 29, the "No Parking This Side of the Street" sign had graffiti written in red and blue marker at Lorenz and Oak.
