Listen Closely and You Might Mistake This Northbrook Teen for Morgan Freeman (VIDEO)

A 6-year-old trying to sound like—and succeeding—cannibal serial killer Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs might be considered the first sign of a future spent in countless psychiatrists' offices.

But for Northbrook 19-year-old Ryan Goldsher, that impression at such a young age might've been the signal of a promising comedy career.

First Impressions With Dana Carvey

Goldsher is one of the contestants on First Impressions With Dana Carvey, a new reality competition show on the USA cable network that has performers using their mastery of voice mimicry to vie for $10,000. His first appearance on the show airs at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 17.

While First Impressions might give Goldsher his biggest audience, he's no stranger to imitating the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Stewie Griffin and even President Barack Obama in front of crowds. The Glenbrook High School graduate has performed at Chicago-area comedy clubs, and he even recited the alphabet using a variety of famous voices for Glenbrook North's 2013 variety show.

One of his most impressive imitations, however, might've been performed offstage. In his bio video for First Impressions, Goldsher, who's attending Pepperdine University in California, says he prank called a banquet hall as Denzel Washington and Morgan Freeman and booked a room for the two Oscar-winning actors.

When it comes to competing on the show, Goldsher says his secret weapon is his Mark Wahlberg imitation. He also thinks his impressions of Michael Douglas and John Malkovich are pretty formidable.
