Man Who Made Inappropriate Remark To GBN Student Arrested: Police

A 33-year-old Chicago resident is accused of making an inappropriate remark of a sexual nature Monday in the school's parking lot.

NORTHBROOK, IL — A Chicago man has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after reportedly approaching a Glenbrook North student Monday and making an inappropriate remark of a sexual nature. Matthew K. Brodie, 33, was released following his arrest Tuesday and is due back in court on June 20.

According to Northbrook police, the incident occurred at around 11:40 a.m. in the school's parking lot, and the student immediately returned to the building and reported it to school security. Security reported the incident to the school resourced police officer, and an investigation began.

Following a "thorough" investigation, the Northbrook Police Department's investigations unit was able to identify, locate and arrest Brodie without incident.
