Maple School's Annual Toy Drive Ends Thursday
Northfield Township Youth Services is set to pick up the toys Friday at the Northbrook school.
NORTHBROOK, IL — It's the season of giving and for the last 25 years, Maple School Physical Education teacher/student council co-sponsor Lynn Reimer has been spearheading the annual toy drive for needy families in Northfield Township. She works diligently to collect toys, games, and winter items with fellow co-sponsor Iris Zhang, Mandarin Chinese teacher.
This year has been especially tough on so many families, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 900 families now rely on Northfield Township Food Pantry and Youth Services for food and essential items, according to a release.
Maple's Student Council Co-sponsors are accepting donations of toys and gift cards for the children of less fortunate families between the ages of preschool and 18 years old. View a "Suggested Gift List" @ https://bit.ly/35tVjaT.
