Retired Principal of Maple School, Dr. Nate Carter will be honored as Family Service Center's 2020 Heart of the Family Award recipient.

Retired Principal of Maple School, Dr. Nate Carter will be honored as Family Service Center's (FSC's) 2020 Heart of the Family Award recipient from 7:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 11, during Family Service Center's (FSC's) annual fundraising Gala. The theme of the evening is "Unity Rocks! - A Virtual Event with Real Impact."

Due to COVID-19, this will be a virtual event. Dr. Carter retired on June 12, from the position of Maple School principal for the past 11 years, where he excelled as a leader and educator. He was also a Character Counts Co-Chair, and the district's Executive Director of the Lew Blond Run ALS fundraiser, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary on May 15, 2021. (Postponed due to COVID-19).
Dr. Nate Carter will be recognized for his "outstanding contribution to the well-being of families, and for being a long-time and dedicated champion of mental health and wellness in our community," according to the FSC website.

One hundred percent of all ticket purchases will go toward FSC Educational Outreach, in honor of “Heart of the Family” recipient, Dr. Carter.
