Mesa Urbana Restaurant Brings Mexican Fusion To Northbrook

Moe Taleb and Eusebio Garcia Have Brought A Classic Urban Restaurant To Milwaukee Avenue In The Northbrook-Glenview Area

Mesa Urbana opened earlier this year and since then it has received rave reviews and tremendous praise for its menu, ambiance, and décor. Mesa Urbana is best described as a Mexican fusion restaurant and the menu was created by Moe Taleb and the chef is Eusebio Garcia.

Mr. Taleb previously owned Kith & Kin, a gastro pub in Chicago, and Mr. Garcia previously worked in Chicago at Park Grill in Millennium Park and Red Light Restaurant on Randolph Street where he was the sous chef.

Mesa Urbana focuses on shared plates and Mr. Taleb has structured the prices and portions of his food so that customers can order several slightly smaller dishes for the price of two or three regular dishes. Everything is made fresh to order and brought out as soon as it is prepared.

Drinks - such as high quality margaritas - are prepared fresh in front of you. Mr. Taleb says look at the color of a margarita because it will tell you a lot about the taste. Only fresh limes, kiwis, cucumbers, raspberries and pomegranate are used. Champagne and red or white wine can be ordered by the glass or bottle. There is also an extensive list of bottled and draft beer.

The decor at Mesa Urbana is described as having a downtown feel with a unique clean sophisticated design coupled with original murals. It is great for a date night or just a group of friends getting together.
