New Business Official At District 28

Jessica Donato stepped into her new role as Chief School Business Official in Northbrook School District 28 on July 1. She replaces Sally Larmore, who retired after serving the district for nine years.

Since 2013, Donato has been Business Manager at Lincolnwood School District 74, where she developed and monitored a $25 million budget for 1,300 students and 160 employees.

“I look forward to building relationships among the district staff and the District 28 community to uphold the Board’s commitment to excellence in education,” she said. “District 28 is fortunate to have sound financial health, which I intend to carefully monitor and maintain.”

Donato was previously CSBO at Schiller Park District 81 for seven years. She has managed school insurance programs, helped coordinate facilities improvement projects, and implemented review programs to ensure efficient use of school district resources. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree in School Business Management from Northern Illinois University.

“Mrs. Donato’s service-oriented attitude and team-oriented approach, as well as her high level of integrity, depth of experience, and solid financial background, make her an ideal match for School District 28,” Superintendent Larry Hewitt said.
