Northbrook Days returns with food, music and fun Aug. 3-7

Downtown Northbrook will soon come alive with the 98th annual Northbrook Days Festival, which opens Wednesday, Aug. 3 and runs through Sunday.

Carnival games and rides, daily activities for kids like face painting, live music every afternoon and evening, food from local restaurants and vendors, and a beer and wine tent are among the highlights.

Mainstage entertainment highlights include 80's hits from The Breakfast Club on Thursday night, an authentic U2 tribute show by Without U2 on Friday, jam band favorite Mr. Blotto on Saturday night and legendary Chicago blues artist Lil' Ed & The Blues Imperials on Sunday. Don’t miss the Grand Prize Raffle, which includes nightly prize drawings, culminating with the $10,000 grand prize giveaway Sunday night. Entries are eligible for each night's drawing after purchase and can also win the grand prize. Raffle tickets can be purchased online now at northbrookdays.com/grandprize and at the Grand Prize booth during event hours.

And as it has from the start, this summer tradition benefits the community. Money raised funds college scholarships for local students and grants to local organizations that serve the community. The festival is community volunteer-powered and organized by the Northbrook Civic Foundation.
