Northbrook Park District offers non-contact football skills competition for ages 6 to 14
The Youth Punt, Pass and Kick Challenge will take place March 8 at Techny Prairie Park and Fields

Next month, the Northbrook Park District will bring back the Youth Punt, Pass and Kick Challenge, a football skills competition for children ages 6 to 14.
The event on March 8 will give participants the chance to showcase their football abilities in a non-contact environment.
Children will rotate through three skill stations — punting, passing and kicking — where they’ll be scored on both distance and accuracy. No field goal kicking is required, making this event accessible for all skill levels.

“Even though football can feel intimidating for some, events like this help introduce the sport in a simple and exciting way. Kids get the chance to learn the basics, build confidence and enjoy friendly competition, all without needing to make a big commitment,” Papale said.
The Youth Punt, Pass and Kick Challenge takes place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 8 at Techny Prairie Park and Fields, 1750 Techny Road in Northbrook. The cost is $9 for residents and $15 for nonresidents. To register, please visit nbparks.org/event/youth-punt-pass-kick-challenge.
