Northbrook Park District Seeks Community Input

To identify strengths and areas for improvement, the Northbrook Park District is seeking community input and feedback through a Public Impression Survey.

Members of the community are invited to take a few minutes to provide their impressions of how information is shared and how the park district can improve its efforts. Results will help staff evaluate and develop new strategies for public relations, marketing and communication of park district offerings and initiatives for the community.

The initiative is part of a Comprehensive Master Plan Update adopted by the park district’s board of commissioners in 2021 to guide the district’s strategies through 2026. Using extensive input gathered through a community-wide survey, an online portal, focus groups and an open house, a variety of projects and initiatives were identified during this process, including the development of a public relations strategy.

The survey is open through May 24 and can be completed at nbparks.co/impression.

“The Northbrook Park District strives to communicate effectively and transparently,” said Director of Marketing and Communications Joan Scovic. “We are looking forward to gathering and evaluating the input received through this survey to help inform decision making as we work to continuously improve our methods to best communicate with and serve the community.”

Survey responses can be submitted anonymously. Those who choose to provide contact information will be entered into a free prize drawing. Three lucky winners chosen at random will select their choice of free recreation: a foursome of golf at Heritage Oaks Golf Club, an Anetsberger Golf Course family membership, a pool membership for a family of four or a Techny Prairie Activity Center annual individual fitness membership.
