Northbrook Presents New Grapes on the Green Wine Tasting Event June 17

NORTHBROOK, IL: The Village of Northbrook and Northbrook Park District are once again collaborating to bring a new adult only event to Village Green Park in the heart of downtown Northbrook. Grapes on the Green, a summer wine tasting event, is scheduled for Saturday, June 17 from 4pm to 8pm.

Participants will enjoy twelve, one-ounce sips of a wide range of varietals from Chicago Wine – the equivalent of three glasses of wine. Tickets also include an entrée voucher from The Fat Shallot food truck, a dessert charcuterie board, giveaways, free prize drawings and live jazz musical entertainment from the Nite Hawks. Throughout the event attendees can visit the caricature artist, test their knowledge with wine trivia, and participate in a variety of event games and activities.

Presale tickets are $49 and tickets at the gate are $59, if available. Non-wine tasting tickets are $39. Additional wine can be purchased for $6 per glass at the event. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to enjoy the ambiance of Village Green Park on a summer evening! Patrons under 21 years of age, outside food and drink, and dogs are not permitted at this event.

“The community survey conducted as part of our Comprehensive Master Plan Update indicated a desire for more adult oriented activities,” said Northbrook Park District Board President Lisa Chalem. “Following the success of Northbrook Brewfest, we are excited to work with the Village again to bring this new summer event to our beautiful Village Green Park.”
