Each year, our Summer Reading program offers the chance to earn fun giveaways, like coupons to local businesses, and win great prizes for reading throughout the summer. Prizes and reading goals are tailored to different ages, from babies through adults, and you don't need a library card to join.

Summer Reading runs from June 1 through August 14. Sign up and log your reading online, or join us at our Summer Reading Kickoff celebration on Sunday, June 5, or visit Northbrook Public Library to sign up and pick up your reading log.

This year, our Summer Reading theme is “Read Off the Beaten Path,” and we hope you'll join us at our Summer Reading Kickoff celebration on Sunday, June 5 from 1:00-4:00pm in the library parking lot.
