Northfield Township Recycling Program Resumes

Northfield Township’s recycling program has resumed on weekdays from 7am-3pm, excluding holidays, through October 30 at the Road District garage (237 Melvin Drive).. Find more information and a list of accepted items at www.northfieldtownship.com/recycling-program.html. Please note that they cannot accept TVs or computer monitors, and October 24 will be the only household chemical waste recycling date for the year.

For the safety of staff and visitors, Northfield Township residents should be ready to show their IDs and follow state of Illinois health guidelines. Efforts will be made to be contactless, so residents will be responsible for removing items from their vehicles and placing them on Road District wagons, where they will be sprayed with disinfectant and brought into the facility to be processed.
