Pills, Pot Discovered After Driver Stopped for DUI: Cops

OUTSTANDING WARRANT
Eyal Alima, 49, of the 900 block of Enfield Drive, Northbrook, was arrested May 7 on an outstanding warrant violation for driving under the influence.

Alima was taken in to custody after police ran a background check on Alima's parked vehicle and discovered the warrant. He was released on $5,000 bail, and his court date is May 25.

PRESCRIPTION FORGERY
Michael A. Anderson, 52, of the 500 block of South Oltendorf Road, Streamwood, was arrested and charged with felony forgery and unlawful possession of prescription drugs after being accused of trying to have fake prescriptions filled May 8 at a pharmacy.
Anderson allegedly gave a pharmacist at the CVS store in the 900 block of Willow Road a fraudulent prescription to be filled. Suspecting it was a fake order, the pharmacist contacted police, and they checked with the doctor, who confirmed the prescription was phony. The doctor also told police Anderson was not a patient.
DUI and FELONY DRUG POSSESSION
Anthony Lee Voorhees, 33, of the 1200 block of Prairie Avenue, Glendale Heights, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane use after a May 10 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Voorhees at about 10:33 p.m. after a report of a driver traveling erratically on eastbound Dundee Road, near Bach Street. Voorhees was determined by police to be under the influence, and he was taken in to custody.
A search of Voorhees' vehicle uncovered plastic bags filled with marijuana and several prescription pills that had not been prescribed to the driver. The type of medication found was not given in the report.
