Prospects Heights Driver Charged With DUI After Crash: Cops

DUI

Abel Uriostergui-Salinas, 32, of the 600 block of Piper Lane, Prospect Heights, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after a May 15 accident.

Police responded to the report of a crash at about 6:19 p.m. in the 900 block of Shermer Road. At the scene, officers determined Uriostergui-Salinas was under the influence and took him in to custody.

Uriostergui-Salinas was released on $3,000 bail, and his court date is June 15.

DUI

Maxim Moruz, 26, of the 200 block of Ascot Lane, Streamwood, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence over the legal limit, improper lane use and failure to notify the secretary of state of an address change after a May 16 traffic stop.

Police pulled over Moruz at about 10:30 p.m. after seeing him commit several traffic violations while traveling eastbound on Dundee Road, near Western Avenue. During the stop, officers found Moruz was under the influence, and he was taken in to custody.

Moruz was released on $3,000 bail, and his court date is June 20.

RETAIL THEFT

Baghir Hamidov, 34, of the 700 block of Grove Drive, Buffalo Grove, was cited for retail theft after trying to shoplift shoes worth $89.97 from Nordstrom Rack.
