Purse Stolen From Car During Dog Park Visit: Blotter
A woman told police someone broke into her car and took a purse while she was visiting a dog park: Northbrook Police Blotter.

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
INCIDENTS
BURGLARY TO VEHICLE
- A person reported at 6:56 p.m. Sept 25, that they visited the dog park in the 2400 block of Dundee Road and when they returned to their vehicle, they found someone had broken the driver’s side window and removed a purse from within the vehicle. The complainant said they were alerted by their bank that one of their credit cards had been used to make a purchase for gift cards in Wheeling.
- A person called police at 3 p.m. Sept. 29, to report someone broke a driver's side window to their car and entered it in the 3000 block of Dundee Road. The complainant found the center console rummaged through and the glove box open.
- A person reported at 3:09 p.m. Sept. 29, someone broke a passenger side window and removed a pouch from inside the vehicle at Northbrook Racquet Club, 2900 block of Dundee Road.

- An employee at Old Navy, 40 block of Skokie Boulevard, reported at 8:14 a.m. Sept. 27, two women were seen on video placing multiple items in a bag, then leaving the store in a vehicle.
- An employee at Saks 5th Avenue, Off Fifth, called police at noon, Sept. 28, to report two women in their 20s left the store without paying for several items.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE

An employee at Northbrook Toyota, 1500 block of Skokie Boulevard, called police to report that between Sept. 27 and Sept. 28, someone removed the catalytic convertors from four vehicles.
THEFT ATTEMPT
A resident in the 2400 block of Hampton Lane reported at 6:34 p.m. Sept. 29, someone approached a package on their front porch and attempt to take the package. The person left the package behind and left the area with two others abruptly on foot.
