Register for Spring 2025 Girls House League Softball with NGSA
New Kindergarten & 1st grade age division added for this season, now providing leagues for all grades K-8th. Early Bird discount until 12/1.
If you have a daughter (or daughters) who will be looking for a fun sport come spring, there is a local non-profit and affiliate of the Northbrook Park District that might be just the ticket.
Registration is now open for our 2025 Spring House League softball season! And if you register before December 1st, you get an Early Bird discount.
Our community House League program is specifically designed for instruction and inclusion. The program accepts Kindergarten through 8th grade girls regardless of their experience, ability, or residency. Having fun while participating in low-pressure, fastpitch softball instruction are
the priorities of the program.

Our House League is made up of 4 divisions based on school grade:
- Sprites (NEW): K & 1st graders (coach pitch with tee backup, 10" soft balls)
- Ponytail: 2nd & 3rd graders (player pitch with coach pitch backup, 11" soft balls)
- Minors: 4th & 5th graders (all player pitch, 11" hard balls)
- Majors: 6th, 7th, & 8th graders (all player pitch, 12" standard balls)
The spring season starts in early April and ends by June 1st. For the Ponytail, Minors, and Majors divisions, this includes 8 to 10 regular season games per team (2 games per week) and once-a-week practices, followed by a single-elimination playoff and 'World Series' for each division (all teams get at least one playoff game). There is also an All Star Game as part of our annual Spring Fling event. Sprites will play about 7 games, with just one game and one practice per week for those youngest players just learning the game. Full uniforms (jersey, pants, belt, socks) are included in your fee for all divisions.

The final deadline to register is February 22nd, but if you want that Early Bird discount, sign up before 12/1! And most age divisions do typically sell out, so don't wait too long.
NGSA also offers pre-season clinics, indoors in March, to get tuned up for the spring season. Registration for those clinics will open around December.
