Residents at Covenant Living of Northbrook Give Back to Community

Northbrook, Ill.: Covenant Living of Northbrook residents recently held a luncheon to express their thanks to representatives from the Northbrook Police and Fire Departments, the Northbrook Library and the Northfield Township Food Pantry. That expression of gratitude also came in the form of monetary donations to each entity with funds raised from items sold during the senior living community’s annual Holly Fair.

“A big part of our culture here at Covenant Living is giving back to the greater community and just being good neighbors,” said Bob Martin, Covenant Living of Northbrook resident and Holly Fair committee treasurer. “The first responders, along with the library and food pantry do so much for the citizens in the Northbrook area, this is one way we can express our appreciation.”

Northbrook police also brought Chloe, the therapy dog from the department, and the library representative brought Holly, a mechanical cat also used for therapy purposes for residents to see and interact with. Past donations from Covenant Living helped in acquiring the dog and mechanical cat.
