Dear District 28 Community:

Our hope… our dream… is for our children and for each of us to live in a society that confronts inhumanity, extinguishes violence, respects differences, welcomes diversity, and seeks betterment for all, but especially for the marginalized and the victimized. This requires an openness to the stories of others, courage to ask ourselves tough questions about assumptions we make, and thoughtful dialogue with those who are different from us.

As our consciences are stirred by the death of George Floyd and as anger and exasperation boil over in America’s streets, our focus in District 28 steadfastly remains on our children.
