Ten Allstate agency owners and financial specialists earn $10,000
The Allstate Foundation grant to support nonprofit's work to create customized employment for individuals with disabilities

Ten Allstate agency owners and financial specialists from the Chicagoland area recently came together to secure a $10,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® grant to benefit TotalLink2 Community. The grant will support the Northbrook-based nonprofit’s mission to create customized employment for individuals with disabilities through specified services and programs.
The agency owners and financial specialists each earned $1,000 for TotalLink2 Community by volunteering at the charity’s NUFLATOT (“total fun” spelled backwards) Family Fun Fair. The volunteers assisted with a variety of games at the grade school-like fair held at the Glenbrook North High School cafeteria. TotalLink2 Community will use the $10,000 grant to further its work in the community.
The participating Allstate agency owners and financial specialists are among thousands of agency owners and financial specialists around the country working to strengthen communities by volunteering their time to support the causes they care about most.

“As small business owners and community leaders, Allstate agency owners and financial specialists see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing our communities,” said Michael Imm, Barrington Allstate agency owner and volunteer project coordinator. “Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we’re proud to volunteer and raise funds to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities across the region.”
TotalLink2 Community is one of thousands of organizations this year to receive Allstate Foundation Helping Hands grants secured by agency owners and financial specialists on behalf of the nonprofits where they volunteer. The grants support organizations addressing domestic violence, youth empowerment, disaster preparedness, hunger and other causes.
