Trucker Punched in Face During Break-in Attempt: Police

A man who parked in the rear lot of a business in the 300 block of MacArthur Dr. told Northbrook police he was punched in the face just after midnight on Tuesday.

While in the cab of his tractor, the man heard a noise coming from the rear of his semi-trailer and exited to see what was going on when he was struck unconscious.

Police said he indicated there was fresh damage to the rear of the trailer and believed the offender was trying to break in.

Paramedics responded and treated and released the victim at the scene.
