Woman Charged With Felony Eluding Police: Northbrook Police Blotter

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Alim Berezhnyy, of Chicago, is accused of misdemeanor speeding (85 mph in a 40 mph zone), reckless driving, driving under the influence, and was arrested at 1:59 a.m. March 30, at Dundee and Lee roads. A court date of April 17 was assigned.

FLEEING AND ELUDING
Shalicia S. Fisher, of Waukegan, is accused of felony aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, unlawful display of license plate, revoked driver's license, suspended registration, uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, speeding, failure to signal, disobeyed stop sign, disobeyed red light, and was arrested at 8:25 a.m. April 1, at Dundee and Waukegan roads. According to police, on March 27, Fisher fled from officers when they tried stopping her vehicle for traffic violations. The officers first saw her 2006 purple Chevrolet at Dundee Road and Waukegan Road. When the officers activated their emergency lights, Fisher fled from them at a high rate of speed and disobeyed red lights. They saw her again at Lake Cook Road and Waukegan Road. Again, Fisher fled from the officers and committed several traffic violations. After an extensive investigation, the officers arrested Fisher on April 1, when they saw her driving and attempt to hide her vehicle in a residential area in Northbrook. A court date of April 2 was assigned.

NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Anthony G. Hernandez, of Des Plaines, is accused of having a suspended registration, expired registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no valid driver's license, and was arrested at 11:11 p.m. April 3, at Midway and Dundee roads. A court date of May 20 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
THEFT
A resident in the 3200 block of Old Mill Road reported at 8:57 a.m. March 31, someone had stolen two political signs that were in his front yard. The signs were $20 each.
PHONE SCAM
A Somerset Lane resident reported at 1:31 p.m. April 1, receiving a phone call from a subject claiming to be with ComEd. He said the complainant was delinquent in his past payments and demanded he pay through apps. The complainant complied and paid $1,194.02 through Apple Pay and $601.46 through Green Dot cards. Afterward, the complainant realized that he had been scammed.
