Woman Returns After Being Asked To Leave Hotel: Blotter

NORTHBROOK, IL — The following information comes from the Northbrook Police Department and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
THEFT
Robert J. Lambert, 28, of the 1900 block of Nimitz Drive, Des Plaines, is accused of theft, unlawful possession of a credit/debit card, and was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 10, at Potbelly, 900 block of Willow Road. A court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.

SUSPENDED/REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE
- Rangel Chavez Ramales, 43, of the 1500 block of Kristan Aveue, North Chicago, is accused of aggravated driving while license revoked, avoiding traffic signal, no driver's license, and was arrested at 10:04 p.m. Jan. 21, at Lake Cook Road and Revere. A court date of Feb. 9 was assigned.
- Eduardo Ramirez Heredia, 44, of the 800 block of Waukegan Road, Northbrook, is accused of driving with a suspended license, no insurance, expired registration, taillight violation, and was arrested at 9:52 p.m. Jan. 22, in the 200 block of Skokie Boulevard. Bond was set at $2,500 and a court date of Feb. 10 was assigned.

INCIDENTS
RETAIL THEFT
An employee at Bloomingdale's Outlet Store, 100 block of Skokie Boulevard, reported at 11:59 a.m. Jan. 21, a man was seen concealing men’s items. The complainant said the man left the store and entered a white-colored van.
INTIMIDATION
A resident called police at 6:16 p.m. Jan. 21, to report they had received a threatening message on social media from an unknown person. The threat also requested a fund transfer or else the person would release explicit photos of the complainant.
THREATENING CALLS
A Shermer Road resident reported at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 22, they received a text message and several telephone calls from an unknown person requesting money and expressing threats against them.
HARASSMENT BY ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION
A Juli-Lyn Lane resident called police at 10:32 a.m. Jan. 22, to report someone has been sending them anti-Semitic messages.
UNWANTED PERSON
An employee at Renaissance Hotel/Chicago NorthShore, 900 block of Skokie Boulevard, reported at 12:22 p.m. Jan. 23, a woman had previously been asked to leave the premises had returned and was again refusing to leave. Officers arrived and the woman left the area without incident.
FRAUD
- A Woodlark Lane resident called police at 1:46 p.m. Jan. 26, to report someone had used their bank information to cash a large check without their consent.
- A customer of a bank in the 1700 block of Shermer Road reported they were alerted by their fraud department that fraudulent checks had been deposited at the location between Dec. 31, 2021, and Jan. 5, 2022.
IDENTITY THEFT
An Illinois Road resident called police at 2:58 p.m. Jan. 26, to report someone opened a credit card account using their information without their permission.
